Brumlovka is dear to my heart. With our studio here, we are behind the architectural design of eleven completed buildings, each of which has brought its own challenges. The newest building, Hila, is not just a little different to the other buildings, it's completely different.

For the first time, we are combining offices, shops and apartments in one building, in a vertical layout, resulting in a never–ending living environment. It’s a completely different building to any we’ve designed before. The actual combination of the three functions is such a fundamental relationship that everything else depends on it. The challenge was therefore to achieve harmony between these different sectors and to create a coherent whole. Hila has brought a whole new generation of multifunctional buildings to Brumlovka.“
